Charlotte A. Battin

Holder of a Bachelor of Arts in Speech/Theatre Communications, Charlotte is a dancer, choreographer, actress,  play director, and storyteller. Her credits include roles in films, TV commercials, music videos, industrial films, stage dramas, dance concerts, Christmas Shows and storytelling. She owned a dance studio for 12 years, teaching dance to children and adults. For the same length of time, she was managing and artistic director/performer with the Battin Polynesian Revue, a dance company presenting Polynesian entertainment throughout several states.

She has taught theatre at Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus and performed two years with the IUPUI Touring Children's Theatre Company, also serving as company manager the second year. She has served as a dance/theatre artist for the (VSAI) Very Special Arts of Indiana for over 20 years teaching at festivals, workshops, and elementary school residencies.

She has served as a judge and as a choregrapher for Jr. Miss pageants and queen contests. In addition, she has been a play reader for the national Bonderman Playwriting Competition, and most recently served as stage manager for one of the five finalists.

Charlotte has accepted a position as an Artist In The Schools (AIS) with the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) of Columbus, OHIO and previously an Arts-in-Education Artist for the state of Kentucky through The Kentucky Center.
